Switching from Mailtrap?

Is Sendtrap a drop-in replacement?

Yes — it's standard SMTP. Swap the host, port, username and password in your mailer config and everything else stays the same.

What happens to my old Mailtrap inboxes?

Nothing automatically — there's no import, since sandboxed test email isn't worth migrating. Create fresh inboxes in Sendtrap and point your apps at the new credentials.

What happens when an inbox hits its retained-email limit?

Nothing is ever rejected. Each inbox keeps its most recent emails up to your plan's limit — once you go over, the oldest emails are automatically cleared to make room for new ones.

Can I share an inbox with a client or non-technical stakeholder?

Yes — generate a read-only, no-login share link for any inbox so a client can watch test emails land on a dev site as you build. The link always expires (default 30 days), and you can revoke it at any time.
